Hello!
The Yorktown Middle School choirs are very excited about the Lynx coming to our area. We sing all styles of music from all time periods, so this gives us an opportunity to investigate and experience songs from this era. YMS is paired with the Lynx in the Opsail adopt a ship program and we would like to welcome you to Yorktown, VA.
The choirs would like to know some titles of songs that were popular duing the time period that the ship was built and used so they can investigate these more. Can you suggest one that would give us the feel of that time period?

As one of New London's Port Authority Commissioners let me tell you how much we look forward to your visit.
As an ex Coast Guard Boatswain, a guest crew on the Elissa, a sailor all my life and a fan of wooden boats all I can say is WOW!
I'd like to see a race between her and the Amistad.
Good luck, fair seas and calm waters.

Had our second sail on the Lynx out of Chicago this past Friday and it was every bit as enjoyable as our last in 2010. All the crew are to be congratulated on their warmth, knowledge and friendliness. We will be making a contribution to the 2012 Bicentennial Campaign.

My mom and I just wanted to thank you and the entire staff for a wonderful experience on the Saturday afternoon sail in Frankfort. We loved every moment! Your programs and information were perfect. We enjoyed the personal touch of all crew members. Special regards to Christine and "The Gunner". They made our trip a special day for making memories. Godspeed to you all and our thanks for sharing your ship with us.
Best wishes on future voyages. Stay safe.

My wife Linda and I took the sail-away during the 2010 Tall Ships in Chicago and absolutely loved it, the vessel and crew are simply fantastic! wishing we could go again. Well yesterday I happened to be wearing my LYNX cap and a friend of mine asked if I knew you were coming back in August. To make a long story short I hurried home, told Linda and we promptly signed up for another sail away. It's going to be great, thanks folks!
