Greetings all!
We are presently at 38-50.0N by 074-45.7W or 10 miles East of the Delaware Bay entrance. Yesterday, after a rather uneventful slog from Montauk to Barnegat we ran smack into strong SW to S breezes and a very cut up sea state which slowed us down and almost stopped our forward progress. But with short canvas on we tacked our way down the coast of New Jersey. We are now headed up the in shore route to Yorktown, in honor of Tropical Storm Beryl which has reached the North Carolina Capes. It appears that Beryl is about to take a short cut across Currituck Sound. That’s a little close for me so inshore we go and are still planning to arrive in Yorktown on time!
Cheers,
Captain John

Greetings all,
We are presently at L/L 39-46.9N by 073-58.0W or about 7 miles ENE of Barnegat, NJ. Again its proving to be heavy going with wind on the nose and Tropical Storm Beryl making its way up the coast. This may cause me to exercise the “Delaware” option where we go up the Delaware and down the Chesapeake to avoid the weather. Longer but better than meeting Beryl at sea.
Cheers,
Captain John Beebe-Center

Greetings,
Lynx is presently at L/L 41-06.9N by 072-18.5W or in Orient Harbor, Long Island NY, 3 miles from Greenport. Bounty is in with us. The run over was in pea soup fog-up until we were 1mile away from the anchorage. We will go along side tomorrow after Unicorn and Bounty get secure.

Greetings,
Our position is L/L 36-16.0N by 075-44.8W or 2 miles off the outer banks at Currituck Sound. We are about to change course for the rhumbline to NE to take advantage of this NW breeze filling in behind the front. Seas are still sloppy but its doable so off we go!

8 May, 2012 Savannah, GA to Martha’s Vineyard, MA
Greetings all,
We are presently at L/L 32-32.9N by 079-51.0W or 6 miles SSW of Charleston Harbor, motor sailing in light SSE breezes. Regrettably we had to retire from the TSA race when, after 8 hours of racing we passed the start line off Savannah for the second time. The wind was just not cooperating, going light while leaving a slogging slop to deal with. With an eye for a developing low approaching Hatteras I made the decision to start pushing. All aboard are well-if a little green.
Cheers Captain John

Greetings from Port Royal Sound NE of Hilton Head Island. We arrived last night and anchored up in this beautiful sound and enjoyed a quiet night. Having finished breakfast we are taking time for chores before working our way back to sea and down the 20 miles to the mouth of the Savannah River which we will transit on Thursday. Wind is predicted to be Southerly 5-10 knots and folks, it is hot.
Cheers Captain John

Greetings!
We are presently at L/L 32-26.6N by 080-02.#W or 10 miles East of St Helena Sound, motor sailing in light Southerly wind and making our way towards Port Royal Sound where we hope to drop anchor late in the day. Having spent yesterday at the dock in Charleston, tuning the rig and resting the crew, today has been given over to sail setting and emergency drills as we continue to segue from maintenance to underway operations. Arrival in Savannah Thursday midday!
Cheers Captain John
