This ship is dedicated to all those who cherish the blessings of America. She is built to carry, protect and encourage the men and women who spread her sails and who voyage with her toward discovery and adventure.

We here this day imbue her with the power of life and with the strength to guide, shield and honor all who sail in her. And we here this day ask God always to grant her good fortune.

May the sea always bear her safely along and the wind always fill her sails with purpose; may the hands on her helm always be steady and her course always be true; may the stars, constant and eternal, always guide her home to safe harbor; and may the love the created her always inspire her spirit.

I name this ship Lynx. God bless her and all who sail in her!
